Daughters of the King is a Saint Albert the Great Women's Faith Sharing Group for women of all ages. Opportunities are provided to bring Catholic women together to know and love Jesus through small faith sharing groups, teachings, prayer, scripture, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. We pray these means will encourage these women to share their faith with others in their everyday life. Our goal is that through sharing the love of Jesus and growing in our relationship with Him, each woman will recognize and live her true identity as a Beloved Daughter of God.
Daughters of the King meets on Monday evenings in the Seton Center. All women are invited to attend 6:30 PM Mass and then go to Seton to begin the evening at 7:15 and end at 8:45. For those who cannot make it to Mass, the doors open at 6:45 for fellowship and light snacks. The evening begins with an opening prayer, a short teaching that is followed by small groups to discuss, answer questions, and read scriptures on the topic of the evening. Each week is a different subject and all are stand alone so you can come when you can make it . However, we do believe to achieve trust, vulnerability, and community with the other women in your group, frequent attendance is preferred.
Daughters of the King Women's Faith Sharing Group met for the first time on July 8 for a Soda Shop Social. Almost 60 women gathered for fellowship, faith, and community...and, of course, ice cream, ice cream floats, Ice cream blizzards, ice cream with all the toppings. All right so maybe it was for the ice cream, but great conversations and faith sharing with some even being brave enough to share part of their story!
